Dear readers,
I'm back! That's right I've awoken from the dead once again. I've been really out of the loop of my computer in the past month, and when I did get time off, I didn't quite know what I wanted to talk about. And so instead of blogging I was searching all sorts of street fashion blogs. In my search for inspiration I found nothing, yeah... Not the happy ending I was hoping for either but that is that. I've however been collecting picture's of outfits I love! So instead of lecturing you guys on how to pull off latest trends I will just show you what I've been obsessing over.
One trend train I'm gonna be hopping on to is color pants! I've already concord red pants and blue pastel pants, and so my colorful pant adventure brings me down the yellow brick road of none the less, yellow pants! (Picture from the Sartorialist)
Another trend that has been catching my eye these days is indeed the high\low hem. On everything!! Shirt's, skirt's, dresses.. Next thing you know their gonna be calling it the high low hair (which wouldn't be fooling anyone, it will forever be the ugly mullet).
Another obsession I've had lately is cargo! It was a big trend in Alexander Wang's last collection, which is one of my favorite designer's. I find it gives my outfits a little punch. (Picture from The Native Fox, another fellow blogger. I found her stuff over lookbook!)
Well I leave you with this, and with no promise of a close return, but with a promise of never giving up on fashion. And even if I'm not blogging you can be sure that I'm somewhere on the interweb searching up some fabulous clothing!
Love,
Jess

trends.
Dear Upper East Sider's,
I start this post sounding like Gossip Girl for one reason, because I am going to be talking about the Pastel trend floating about this season. Now as much as I love this trend I would also like to see it curl up in a ball and die. Let me elaborate my blunt-ness... I love this trend because it's new and fresh but it's being seriously over done, come on people pastel highlights in your hair? Yes at first I thought it was cool and unique but I've grown into a love hate relationship with it.
This infectious trend has been blown so out of proportion to the point that even people who wouldn't normally wear pastels, because it's totally not there style, are wearing it anyway? I will agree to disagree, because some of the trendy pastel outfits appeal to me in a edgy boho chic kinda way, but when you turn it into "tea with the queen" kinda look I'm not the biggest fan.
So to conclude my rant I would like to tell all the ladies out there to go dye your hair back, unless you were rocking it before it was "in" then keep rocking it cause you were cool before the rest of them!
Love to the weirdo's,
Jess
P.S. All the picture's posted are pastels that I accept in society.

oh hello world.
Hello again!
The sun is out and the birds are chirping, so I've decided to come out of my blogging hibernation, well that and the fact that I actually have a day off today! My normally scheduled blog post on Thursday needed to be postponed last week because I was busy with buying a car, that's right you read it correctly get of the road folks my fabulous driving isn't always safe.
But hey that's just me getting of topic, now for my come back I decided to make this post all about Sex and the City! In my latest down time I've become re-obsessed with watching HBO's finest ladies take on the big apple. These ladies redefined the meaning of great style at any age, having a television series with a 6 year run and moving on to releasing two blockbuster hit movies, what more could they ask for! Ever since seeing the movies I moved on to watching the show and own all of the season's on dvd. I can never get enough of them they pull together three of my most favorite things in the world, fashion, sexuality and the city!
It is Carrie Bradshaw's famous line that motivates my wardrobe... "I like my money where I can see it, hanging in my closet." Don't we all! I strive for the day I have over 200 pairs of designer shoes in my closet. Sarah Jessica Parker played Carrie on the show and got to wear designer clothing and accessories by Manolo Blahnik, Fendi, Givenchy, Marc Jacobs, Christian Louboutin, Jean Paul Gaultier and that's just to name a few. Needless to say anybody who has ever watched the show will be marked by Carrie Bradshaw's ambitious style and fearless take to every day dressing. I will be forever inspired by her style and will always use the line "this is so Carrie!" while shopping. Oh and I can't forget to mention Patricia Field! She was the stylist for the series, if it weren't for her none of the girls would look this amazing!
I leave you with gorgeous picture's of the girls in the city! Hope you were inspired.
Lots of love,
Jess
